ECUADOR PARTICIPATES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NEW YORK’S FAMOUS CHOCOLATE SHOW
The Trade Office of Ecuador in New York organized Ecuador’s participation, for the first time with an institutional stand, in the New York Chocolate Show, whose 13th annual event took place in the Manhattan’s Metropolitan Pavilion, from November 11-14, 2010.
This show is dedicated completely to chocolate, being the most important and specialized of its kind in the United States and is organized in the cities of various countries around the world, such as England, France, Russia, China, Spain, Egypt and Japan. More than 65 companies of fine chocolate from all over the world participated in this year’s event and offered their products to nearly 12,000 visitors.
Additionally, there were special events within the New York Chocolate Show like the Chocolate Fashion Show, cooking demonstrations with chefs specializing in chocolate, and author signings of chocolate-themed books in the Barnes & Noble bookstore, among others.
The businesses of Antidote, Kallari and Pacari formed part of Ecuador’s stand, whose products caused quite the sensation among visitors and the event’s press, by presenting a different proposal: certified organic dark chocolate, on the basis of the best fine cocoa flavor in the world.
